AlkaidAnd just so you know, I'm persistent and I never give up! The feisty Alkaid was originally the Demon Palace Emperor, and boy was she proud of her title. Unfortunately for her, Endrance thought he could be proud of that title, too. Using his epitaph, Macha, he was able to defeat Alkaid in the arena and ascend to the Demon Palace Throne.Too bad Alkaid smelled something rotten in Denmark. When Haseo first met Alkaid, she was completely devoted to winning her crown back. She wasn't afraid to taunt Haseo, and at times could get downright brutal in her jests (not unlike Haseo himself). She riled him up just enough that he used his epitaph on her, too, and subsequently won the tournament. Now twice burned by "dirty cheaters", Alkaid made it her goal to reveal Haseo for a fraud. Unfortunately, the plot struck first. Holy Palace Emperor Sirius wasinfected by Aida, and Alkaid and Haseo teamed up to save him. As they quested together, the two became friends. Alkaid even seemed to develop a little crush on Haseo, and was encouraged by his strength and confidence. We all know where this is going, don't we? Traveling to Coite-Bodher to find out more about Sirius' condition, Alkaid was attacked by an AIDA-infected Bordeaux. As with Shino, Haseo arrived at the scene too late; he could only watch helplessly as Alkaid faded away in his arms. Before losing consciousness, she reminded him that "boys don't cry". Which really made me think of the Hilary Swank movie. In retrospect, I bet Alkaid really digs that film. Alkaid awakened from her coma in game three and eventually met up with Haseo at the Arche Koeln Waterfall. Overjoyed by her presence, Haseo hugged and scolded her, leaving Alkaid to blush and encourage him to fight on. Of course, Haseo was still as oblivious as ever. In Alkaid's max affection ending, she and Haseo meet in Mac Anu: Haseo: Alkaid...The two are then married. |
