kuhnI'm sorry, but this was the only way I could think of. Haseo met Kuhn for the first time at ΔHidden Forbidden Dead Wood, but Kuhn was familiar with the Terror of Death long before that day. Kuhn was the third member of Project G.U., and the first officially "enlisted" epitaph user. As such, he had witnessed some of Haseo's exploits in The World alongside Pi and Yata at the Serpent of Lore. In fact, Kuhn was so concerned about Haseo that he instructed Canard to lend him their aid if he ever needed it. Most thought that was a fat chance -- who'd have thought one day he really would need them? Well, that's what we have good ol' Kuhn for.At first glance, it's difficult to imagine Kuhn and Haseo being any more different. Laid-back, cheerful, and a bit of a playboy, Kuhn is the opposite of the stern, rational, perpetually grumpy Haseo. However, this doesn't stop the two from becoming friends within G.U. Like all of Haseo's friends, it just takes a little "extra work". Kuhn gravitates to Haseo and often acts like a protective, if a little flighty, older brother. He takes Haseo's feelings into consideration, even when the younger neglects to pay attention to Kuhn's own. Always encouraging, open-minded, and usually pretty relaxed, Kuhn tries to assess situations fairly, even when caught between Pi and Haseo's own (conflicting) ideas. He teaches the boy kindness, and in turn how to be kind to others. Kuhn understands the risks involved with wielding the epitaphs; luckily, the young man is willing to pass that knowledge on with a very special lesson for Haseo in the arena. Most importantly, he serves as a source of support for our hero: someone who will always be there to help, no matter how bleak the situation may appear. Of course, he may forget you for a while if a pretty girl walks by, but hey, don't we all have our flaws? Kuhn's Max Affection ending takes place in Mac Anu: Haseo: Kuhn...Whether he was up for it or not, Haseo then gets to spend the day with Kuhn and several lovely ladies. |
