sakakithe resident megalomaniac ten-year-old Sakaki of Moon Tree and Haseo first met in Mac Anu. It was far from a pleasant exchange: Haseo was still preoccupied with finding Tri-Edge, and Sakaki was busy being a hippie jerk. He preached about peace for a while, Haseo told him to shove his ponytailed head where the sun doesn't shine -- it wasn't exactly a great start for either.Even as Haseo got more involved in The World, he found that one thing remained constant: he really didn't like Sakaki nor Atoli's blind worship of him. Ironic, because even as Sakaki spread the word of non-violence throughout the game, he still disliked Haseo, too. Of course, he was careful to hide this side of himself. That all changed when Sakaki finally revealed his true nature and staged a coup of Moon Tree. By turning the guild's @home into an AIDA server, Sakaki was effectively able to isolate the guild from the rest of The World and create his own battleground. While one faction remained loyal to guildmaster Zelkova, it appeared that Sakaki had spies and turncoats lurking in every division of the guild. What was worse, he had infected Atoli with AIDA and was using her epitaph Innis to maintain the chaos. Luckily, or not so luckily for Sakaki, Haseo was ready to save the day. Haseo, Kuhn, and Endrance raided the Moon Tree server and successfully liberated Atoli and the guild. Eventually they chased the ousted Sakaki down to ΘHidden Forbidden Dragonbein, who in a final act of desperation infected himself with an AIDA strain given to him by Ovan. Proving himself to be just another Ovan pawn, he fought Haseo -- and lost. But that wasn't the end of Sakaki. No, the crazy denizen would come back like legwarmers and mussy the place up again in volume 3. After successfully convincing CC Corp to fire Yata and hire him in his stead, Sakaki made it his priority to defeat Haseo once and for all. By staging an elaborate PK Tournament and forcing Haseo to fight in it, it seemed like Sakaki had it all worked out... He just forgot that Haseo is the hero of the tale and can kick anyone's rear five ways from Sunday. It wasn't long before it was the final showdown between the two, with the AIDA-infected Sakaki facing off against Haseo and Skeith. Of course Haseo won, and the next we see of Sakaki is his defeat at the hands of the Azure Knights. The most ironic aspect of Sakaki's tale is the truth behind his offline persona. In real life, Sakaki is a ten-year-old boy named Uike Tooru. Tooru is in two episodes of Online Jack and is, in fact, just a kid. That's right, Haseo's arch-enemy could be defeated with a wedgie or even a self-inflicted ice cream headache. You have to wonder how many trash cans Haseo would stuff him into if they met in real life. Also, think about how oblivious he would remain to the fact that he was once a ten-year-old weirdo playing The World, PKing people, and having green hair. Maybe you should aim for a little higher class of rival next time, eh, Haseo? |
